“The Electrification Coalition (EC) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that promotes policies and actions to facilitate widespread deployment and adoption of electric vehicles across the United States. We work to accelerate transportation electrification through public policy development, market research, policy advocacy, implementation projects, technical support and innovative partnerships at the local, state and national levels. Our National Director is based in North Carolina and we work actively at the state level through our State EV Policy Accelerator and at the local level through the Climate Mayors and American Climate Challenge Cities Program, including with Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh and Orange County. Furthermore, The Electrification Coalition supports transportation electrification as an essential aspect of reducing our dependence on oil, which currently fuels 91 percent of our transportation system and raises a host of national and energy security, economic and public health concerns.”
