The History of Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicles have come a long way since they were first developed in the 19th century. The first American electric vehicle was invented by William Morrison of Des Moines, Iowa, and it reached a not-so-speedy top speed of 14 mph. Electric vehicles were reintroduced to the U.S. market in 2010, and there are now over 1 million on our roads. Today, the vehicles are known for their efficiency, performance, financial savings and long list of other benefits.
